Cristina Gallardo-Domâs is a South American soprano.

She was born in Santiago, Chile, and frequently performs in operas by Puccini in whose repertoire she specialises.

She made her debut as Madama Butterfly in 1990 in Santiago and began performing in opera houses in Europe three years later, making her La Scala debut in 1993 in "La Rondine."

Cristina Gallardo-Domâs has frequently performed at the Metropolitan Opera and was chosen to reprise the role of Butterfly for an HD broadcast.

Another role she is particularly associated with is Suor Angelica from Puccini's Il Triticco.

She is pictured here in the role of Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata.
