One of the most popular opera artists today Deborah Voigt has a rich warm large soprano voice that has endeared her to audiences in America and throughout Europe.

There was a storm of protest when she was dismissed in London because of her overly generous size in an incident that became known as the little black dress affair. (She couldn't fit into the dress).

Following a gastric bypass operation, Deborah famously lost a vast ammount of weight and continued her career.

She regularly performes at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and starred as Isolde in the Metropolitan's HD filmed broadcast of Tristan & Isolde. She also performed the role of Minnie in Puccini's La Fancuilla Del West which was also filmed.

As one of the new generation of singers Deborah Voigt continues to thrill and delight audiences today wherever she performs.
