Giuseppe di Stefano was an Italian operatic tenor who sang from the late 1940s until the early 1990s.

Frequently referred to as the "Golden voice" or "The most beautiful voice", he was often described as the true successor to Beniamino Gigli.

Di Stefano was also known for his long-term association (and brief romantic episode) in both performance and recordings with the legendary soprano Maria Callas.

His recorded legacy on complete opera sets is a rich one indicating a voice of incredible tone, phrasing and musicality.

Giuseppe Di Stefano is one of the featured stars on our "Legends" product range.
