Mara Zampieri is an operatic soprano, trained at the Padua Conservatory.

During her career she has performed in more than fifty operas and twenty one of them have been operas by Giuseppe Verdi.

While she focusses mainly on Italian operas she has nonetheless gained wide attention with her interpretation of Richard Strauss's Salome.

Mara Zampieri has performed in many of the opera houses in Europe, including London, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Barcelona and Vienna.

She has also performed in San Francisco, New York, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo.

She has been recorded in two filmed performances - as Lady Macbeth opposite Renata Bruson's Macbeth and opposite Placido Domingo in La Fancuilla Del West.
