Nicolai Gedda was a renowned Swedish opera singer and recitalist.

With some two hundred recordings to his credit it is said that Gedda was the most widely recorded tenor in history.

His voice is famous for its beauty of tone, vocal control, and musical intelligence.

Distantly related to actor and raconteur, Peter Ustinov, Nicolai Gedda was musically active well into his seventies and is now retired.

Here Nicolai Gedda is pictured as Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni.

Nicolai Gedda is one of the featured stars on our "Legends" product range.
