Piotr Beczala is a Polish operatic tenor.

He started out in Linz and then became a regular artist with the Zurich Opera.

Between 2004-2006 he made several major international debuts.

In April 2004, he made his debut at the Royal Opera House in London as the Italian Tenor in Der Rosenkavalier.

He later returned that same year to sing the title role in Faust.

This was followed by the Duke in Rigoletto in 2005 with another Faust in September of 2006.

In November 2004 Piotr Beczala made his debut with the San Francisco Opera playing Lensky in Eugene Onegin.

His La Scala debut happened in January 2006 when he played the Duke in Rigoletto (which was the same role that he played at his Metropolitan Opera debut in December 2006).

Since then his career has continued to grow with regular performances in in many of the major opera houses of the world.

His repertoire includes leading roles from the following operas

La Sonnambula, La Damnation de Faust, Lucia di Lammermoor, Rusalka, Faust, Die Lustige Witwe, Romeo et Juiliette, Jenufa, Manon, Idomineo, Manon, Werther, Die Entfuhrung Aus Dem Serail, Don Giovanni, Die Zauberflote, Les Contes D'Hoffmann, La Boheme, Gianni Schicchi, Der Rosenkavalier and Un Ballo in Maschera.
