Lithuanian born Violeta Urmana, is another diva who began her career as a mezzo-soprano but has transitioned successfully into soprano roles since.

Violeta enjoys an international career singing in opera houses around the world.

Her roles and performances have included: Sieglinde in "Die Walküre" at Bayreuth, "Iphigénie en Aulide" at La Scala, Maddalena in "Andrea Chénier" at the Vienna State Opera, Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" Isolde in "Tristan und Isolde," Leonora in Verdi's "La Forza Del Destino", and the title roles in "La Gioconda," "Tosca," "Ariadne auf Naxos," "La Wally," and "Aida".

Violeta Urmana is also a seasoned artist in the concert halls performing recitals comprising of works from Bach to Berlioz to Alban Berg.
